You may be wondering to youself why the hell I drew a character from such an intensely crappy movie (I still sometimes wonder about this one). I was mostly struck by the vibrant greens and reds, and wanted to to a picture where I could really tackle some different textures without making the picture look too smudgy or blurry.
Just for details sake, there are no photos in this picture, and the picture itself is not a photo. It was a painstaking recreation of a picture I found on a google image search. It took a lot of gridding, layers, patience, and probably a decent portion of my sanity, but here it is. The gloves I think are wonderful.
This was done mostly with the paintbrush, smudge, pen, burn, and dodge tools in Photoshop 7.
EDIT: I also want to add that I painted this with a mouse and not a tablet (not an intended personal form of torture at the time, but it is what it is, I really wouldn't recommend it!!) You can tell where the hair looks kinda crappy on the lower left.
All the best!
